Parents are welcome the whole time
You can stay with your child for the entire visit. We never rush – if your child is scared, we start by getting to know the chair and the instruments.
At the end, we’ll show you how to brush your child’s teeth at home and which tools to choose for their age.
Frequently asked questions from parents
When should I bring my child for the first time?
Ideally soon after the first teeth come through. The sooner your child gets used to the environment, the easier it will be.
How do I prepare my child for the visit?
Talk about the visit calmly and positively. Don’t scare them, and don’t promise that “it’ll be nothing at all”. Just say that the hygienist will look at their teeth and show them how to brush.
What if my child won’t cooperate?
That’s perfectly fine – we never force anything. Sometimes the first visit is mainly about getting to know us – and that’s worthwhile too.
